Born on March 24, 1975 in Talcahuano, Chile.
Sociologist, in 2005 he pursued a graduate degree on Screenplay at FIA, Valencia (Spain).
In 2007 he writes and directs the short film "El Nuevo" ("The New One"), obtaining the awards for Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Talca Film Festival that year, and getting selected in the Valdivia International Film Festival (FICV) and the Santiago International Film Festival (SANFIC). In 2008 he writes and directs the short film "El Vestido" ("The Dress"), starring Daniel Muñoz and Manuela Martelli, which got selected in over 25 international film festivals, including the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival and Tampere Film Festival. The short film won five awards, including two Best Film awards.
Jairo Boisier also teaches Screenplay and Audiovisual Industry at the Diego Portales University.
